What we do
The aim of SUN is to empower patients and their carers living with a diagnosis of PD&CN or traits of PD&CN. To learn more, you can download our information pack. It was created together with people who have lived with Personality Disorder. All the quotes in the pack are real stories shared by service users.
The network offers a variety of groups where members can support each other and learn ways to stay healthy in their daily lives.
The groups offer a place for people to connect and support each other, while also allowing service users and caregivers to take part in developing and improving services.
All our groups are open to anyone registered with an Essex GP.
Please note that groups are not a substitute for clinical intervention or for those in crisis. Expressions of interest, rather than referrals, are invited to reflect this.
The SUN in collaboration with the personality disorder and complex needs specialist team, offers training to staff across health and social care to enable greater awareness and understanding of patients and their carers living with PD&CN. For more information on our training please contact: [email protected]
Get involved
We very much believe that co-production and active participation of our members is at the heart of what we do. Our emphasis is that the voice of our members should be the most influential in driving positive transformations in care and the overall experiences of using services.
Please see information below on our Service Development Collaborative to get involved!
SUN groups
The network runs a variety of groups for individuals living with personality disorders and complex needs, as well as their carers.
