As of 1 October 2025, the Individual Placement Support (IPS) Employment Service for people with severe mental illness in Essex will be provided by Get Set UK. EPUT is currently working with Get Set Uk to ensure a smooth transition for service users. This page will be updated with further information soon. Please note, the change does not impact IPS services in Suffolk or Essex Primary Care.
Work with an employment specialist to help you to decide what sort of job would be right for you. They will help you create an Action Plan and offer practical support.

- Interview advice, tips and practice.
- Job searching and application advice.
- Contact and engage with employers on your behalf.
- Support you in accessing benefits advice.
EPUT directly provide the service in North East and Mid Essex. We work in partnership with the charity Employ-Ability who provide the service in West and South East, South Essex and Southend on our behalf.

Hours of operation
The service is available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
How to refer to the service
A referral can be made by your care coordinator, psychiatrist, psychologist etc. Please speak to them and ask to be referred.

Exclusions from the service
We operate a ‘no exclusion criteria’ so anyone who would like support to find work or retain employment can be referred to the service.
