NIHR performance in initiating and delivering research reports

From October 2013 the NIHR has required that NHS trusts that receive funding from the NIHR for the delivery of research publish outcomes of clinical trials against two bench marks:

• Recruiting the first patient to a study within 70 days of NHS Permission for the study
• Delivery against the recruitment target agreed with the research site
