The Service User Network (SUN) is a community based support service which sits within the Personality Disorder and Complex Needs Service (PD&CN).
What we do
The aim of SUN is to empower patients and their carers living with a diagnosis of PD&CN or traits of PD&CN. It provides online and in-person groups where members can support each other and learn ways to stay healthy in their daily lives.
The groups offer a place for people to connect and support each other, while also allowing service users and caregivers to take part in developing and improving services.
All our groups are open to anyone registered with an Essex GP.
Please note that groups are not a substitute for clinical intervention or for those in crisis.
The SUN in collaboration with the personality disorder and complex needs specialist team, offers training to staff across health and social care to enable greater awareness and understanding of patients and their carers living with PD&CN. Get involved
We very much believe that co-production and active participation of our members is at the heart of what we do. Our emphasis is that the voice of our members should be the most influential in driving positive transformations in care and the overall experiences of using services.
Awareness groups
The network runs awareness and support groups for individuals living with personality disorders and complex needs, as well as their carers.
