Here for you – support service for health and care staff

Summary

Here for You is a psychological support service for staff provided by Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT). We offer a flexible and person-centred service to meet the needs of staff employed by the organisations that have funded it. Currently these are Princess Alexandra Hospitals Trust (PAHT), Mid and South Essex Hospitals Trust (MSEFT), Essex Partnership University Trust (EPUT) We are liaising with other organisations to support as many staff as possible.

National funding for staff mental health hubs ceased in April 2023 and, since then, we have been developing the Here for You service to provide well needed support.

Who we are

Here for You is a team of psychological therapists, social workers, clinical and counselling psychologists and assistant psychologists.

We offer a flexible, person-centred and confidential service to meet the needs of colleagues.

Some people may find that one helpful conversation is all they need, whereas others may require a more comprehensive assessment and short intervention.

We are able to offer therapeutic support where difficulties are linked to the workplace. This could be stress, distress and/or trauma, which is impacting on a person’s ability to be at work or carry out their duties.

We may also assist with referrals to other services and onward signposting where necessary. We offer psychoeducational resources and self-help materials, which can be found on our website.

We’re aware it can feel difficult for staff to access psychological support. We can be reached via the telephone, website or email to arrange an appointment. The quickest way to get in touch is via our self-referral portal.

Following your referral, our service administrator will contact you within three working days to book an initial meeting.
