I currently work within the Mental Health team in the King’s Wood Centre at Colchester hospital but have a background in HR having worked at Royal Mail for 26 years prior to joining the NHS. During this time, I worked in training, recruitment, and employee relations gaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management.

For the past 15 years I have worked in administration at 5 NHS Trusts in departments ranging from child health, district nursing, psychology therapy, eating disorders and currently dementia which has given me a good understanding of the issues faced by staff working in a wide range of areas.

I have stood as a staff governor because I would like to represent the voices of staff working in some demanding roles throughout the trust ensuring that changes are made for the benefit of all stakeholders – staff, patients and EPUT.
