As the Registered Manager and Director of a private provider within Essex which supports individuals requiring personal care, I am keenly aware of the difference that high quality and joined-up care makes to safety, outcomes and experience. I have worked within the NHS as a Midwife for over a decade in senior Quality Improvement and Compliance roles in Trusts, NHS England and as the Midwifery representative on the Executive Committee of the British Association of Perinatal Medicine. My approach is guided by the principle that effective care starts with meaningful collaboration and co-production with service users, staff and community partners.

Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to both lead on Quality Improvement, Compliance and Service Development initiatives and also to oversee and assure the activity of individual teams, Trusts and ICS. These experiences have enabled me to develop an approach which unites robust professional curiosity with supportive friendship as I scrutinise plans and their subsequent delivery, progress and outcomes to ensure that the changes yield the anticipated improvement.

As a clinician myself I proceed with genuine respect and appreciation of the work of colleagues across medical, nursing, allied health professional and administrative fields and am passionate about the role of psychological safety, civility in the workplace and retention activity in optimising clinical care.
