Members of the public are invited to become Governors at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT). Nominations for the Governor Elections are now open and will close at 5pm, on Friday 10 May 2019.
There are 11 vacancies for Public Governors throughout Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Luton.
Governors play an important role as they reflect the views of their constituents. They promote and help support the Trust’s strategy and hold the Board’s Non-Executive Directors to account. Governors can contribute and make a difference to patient care. There are:
- 5 vacancies in Mid and South Essex;
- 2 vacancies in North East Essex and Suffolk;
- 2 vacancies in West Essex and Hertfordshire;
- 2 vacancies in Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire and Luton.
All Governors will hold terms of office as set out in the Trust’s constitution; this is normally for a period of up to three years with a maximum of three terms of office.

For all contested constituencies voting will open on Friday 31 May 2019. Voting will close at 5pm on Thursday 20 June 2019.
Should any nominee wish to withdraw their nomination, they must put this in writing to the Returning Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 15 May 2019.
