A Positive Wellbeing Day is being organised for older people who have a mental health condition or cognitive impairment.
The Older People’s Community Mental Health team in Thurrock is organising the event on 4 July from 1pm to 4pm at Grays Park, Grays, RM17 6QZ.
There will be performances, music and workshops, and information about support available. It is about having a big conversation with the community. A place where people can find out how the community can support them with mental health or as a carer
Visitors can speak to staff from local health and care services, charities and community organisations about the work they do and the help they offer.
It is the third annual event to be organised by the Older People’s Community Mental Health team.
The team is made up of professionals from Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust and Thurrock Council, who provide care for people who are mainly aged over 65, and have a mental health condition and cognitive impairment, such as dementia.
