South Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (SEPT) is holding a public meeting of the Board of Directors at 10:30 on 27 July 2016 at The Lodge, Runwell Chase, Essex, SS11 7XX.
The agenda includes a presentation by Kim Shaw, Head of Infection Control and Julie Thornton, Immunisation Clinical Lead, on the Trust’s upcoming flu immunisation campaign.
Kim Shaw, Head of Infection Control, said;
“Flu occurs every winter in the UK and is a key factor in NHS winter pressures. It impacts on those who become ill, the NHS services that provide direct care, and on the wider health and social care system that supports people in at-risk groups. This presentation aims to remind us all of the dangers of Flu, outline SEPT’s Staff Flu Vaccination Programme for winter 2016/17, as well as how we aim to achieve the Staff Health and Wellbeing CQUIN relating to frontline staff vaccination.”
The presentation will be followed by an award ceremony to congratulate a number of SEPT employees nominated for an award as part of the staff recognition scheme.
SEPT is one of the largest and most successful NHS providers in the country of integrated care including mental health, learning disability, social care and community services. As an NHS Foundation Trust, SEPT is run locally, not by Government, and must work closely with the local community to develop services in a way that best suits the needs of local people.
