Members of the public are invited to join upcoming workshops to find out how they can make a difference as a governor at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT).
Governors act as ambassadors for EPUT and represent the views of local communities, providing the support and challenge of a critical friend to its board of directors.
Elections to governor roles at EPUT are being held this summer, and the Trust is holding a series of workshops in April and May for the public to find out more about the role.
Anyone interested in nominating themselves as a governor must first become a member of the Trust, further details of which can be found on the EPUT website.
Elections will take place in the summer for positions in mid and south Essex; west Essex, Hertfordshire and the rest of England; and north east Essex and Suffolk.
