Our Staff Recognition Awards are all about saying thank you. Each year, we celebrate the amazing people at EPUT who go above and beyond to care, support, and make a difference.

Have you or a member of your family received exceptional care? Has one of our team gone above and beyond to help you? If so, you can nominate them for a Staff Recognition Award.

Anyone can nominate. There are five categories to choose from. Click on the links below to find out more about each category:

Who is this award for?

Any member of EPUT staff: permanent, fixed term contract, and bank staff.

Who can nominate?

Anyone can nominate for this category.

What are the judges looking for?

The winner will have improved patients’, service users’, or carers’ wellbeing on the wards or in community. They will have made a real difference to others’ lives.

Who is this award for?

Any member of EPUT staff: permanent, fixed term contract, and bank staff.

Who can nominate?

Only members of EPUT staff can nominate for this category.

What are the judges looking for?

An individual who:

  • Demonstrates our trust values.
  • Always delivers excellence in everything they do.
  • Demonstrates exceptional customer care and support.
  • Goes the extra mile for others.
  • Champions dignity and respect, treating others how they wish to be treated and promoting equality and inclusion.

Who is this award for?

Any team made up of EPUT staff: clinical, non-clinical, inpatient, community-based.

Who can nominate?

Anyone can nominate for this category.

What are the judges looking for?

A team that makes significant contributions to the trust’s work, provide exceptional customer service, and always work in line with the trust’s values. Judges are looking for a team that is inclusive and allows its members to be themselves and to embody our ‘Be You’ philosophy.

We want to celebrate teamwork that has had a positive impact on our trust’s performance and recognise when a team is outstanding at what they do.

Who is this award for?

Any leader or manager, whether on the front line or in the back office. Permanent, fixed term contract, and bank staff are all eligible.

Who can nominate?

Anyone can nominate for this category.

What are the judges looking for?

A leader who helps to inspire and motivate others, is inclusive of everyone, and works to improve the quality of EPUT services. Someone who demonstrates all of our core values and inspires their team to do the same. A manager or leader that you are proud to work with.

Who is this award for?

Any member of EPUT staff: permanent, fixed term contract, and bank staff.

Who can nominate?

Only members of EPUT staff can nominate for this category.

What are the judges looking for?

This award celebrates innovative ideas, research, and quality improvement projects carried out by our staff. Innovative research studies that will shape the way we care for patients and have a lasting impact on the sector.


Winners will be chosen and will receive vouchers and a certificate.

All winners will also be entered into our new Staff Recognition of the Year Award category at our annual Quality Awards event, where our Chief Executive Officer will choose one truly outstanding winner from the year’s Staff Recognition Award recipients.
