The Adult’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Team

SANE aims to raise mental health awareness and provide emotional support, practical help and information. It works to combat stigma, increase understanding and initiate research into causes, treatment and experience of mental illness.

Rethink Mental Illness
Rethink Mental Illness provides expert, accredited advice and information to everyone affect by mental health problems. They offer practical help on issues such as the Mental Health Act, community care, welfare benefits, debt, criminal justice and carer’s right. They also offer general help on living with mental illness, medication, care and treatment.

OCD Action
OCD Action provides support and information for people with obsessive compulsive disorder and related disorders such as body dysmorphic disorder, compulsive skin picking and trichotillomania. They work to raise awareness of the disorder amongst the public and strive to secure a better deal for people with OCD.

No Panic helps people who suffer from panic attacks, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorders and other related anxiety disorders. They specialise in self-help through recovery groups and one to one mentoring over the telephone.
