Qualified Certified Accountant with over 35 years managing complex large organisations going through change. I am also a fellow of the Chartered institute of marketing and have an MBA from Warwick. Previously trustee of a local hospice rated outstanding. I am the carer for my wife who suffers from autoimmune conditions and another member of my family who suffers from a number of mental health conditions.

I am strongly analytical but very personable and team orientated. I recognise the commitment and expertise of the Trusts staff but also the considerable challenges the organisation faces.
My aim is to contribute to making positive changes to the organisation and I believe I can achieve this by:

• Questioning and challenging in a constructive and diplomatic way.
• Constantly looking for improvements.
• Governance and oversight.
• Holding the organisation to account - celebrating the successes but learning from the failures.
• Being a voice of the service users whether individually or by their representative groups.
• Always recognising that the trust is first and foremost a people organisation and any change needs to be with the people concerned.
• First and foremost I bring skills of change and transformation; these I believe the organisation needs in facing its challenges ahead.
