As a Senior Lecturer in Higher Education currently, I consider myself an educator with over fifteen years of experience in higher education. I am a Methodist circuit steward, married with a small family. I have also worked for the Red Cross Society, both as a volunteer and as a member of staff. As a Red Cross volunteer, I have worked in primary care projects. I have worked with the Red Cross in Blood transfusion services, Disaster Preparedness, Information and dissemination, and as a first-aid trainer and field officer. As a social worker, I have worked as a child welfare officer.

In addition to contributing to local community development, I bring strong analytic competence, commitment and passion, a willingness to learn and engage in the role, teamwork experience, good communication and interpersonal skills, good work etiquette, a global orientation to work and experience from diverse orientation/sectors with strong academic knowledge in sustainability and digitization. I bring positive professional and Higher Education industry specific skills, relevant competences, abilities and knowledge from previous experiences to utilize in the capacity of a governor. I also bring diverse perspective, based on my previous work experiences. I hope to gain a sense of satisfaction, skills in strategic planning, finance, human resource, deeper understanding about how the service operates, negotiation skills, networking and leadership skills enhancement.
