Food hampers filled with festive treats are being delivered to all inpatient wards run by Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) this week.
Patients who are spending Christmas away from loved ones will receive the special deliveries of mince pies, biscuits, cakes and crisps.
Staff from the Trust’s estates and facilities team delivered 46 hampers to wards across Essex and in Luton, Bedfordshire.
Milind Karale, Executive Medical Director at EPUT, said: “This time of year can be very difficult for patients who find themselves away from their friends and loved ones.
“I hope the hampers go some way to making the festive period that little bit more special.”
