More information

I qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in 1997 and have since worked across the NHS and EPUT at most levels, from Band 5 to senior manager at Band 8A. My roles have included acute inpatient wards, crisis resolution and home treatment, CAMHS, Older Adults community services and primary care mental health, where I helped transform services under the NHS Long Term Plan.
That journey is why I chose to stand as a Staff Governor for clinical colleagues. I've seen how Board decisions shape the front line, and I want to make sure the views of clinical staff are genuinely heard and fairly represented.

I've led quality improvement using PDSA and Lean methodology, supported teams through CQC inspections and accreditation schemes such as HTAS and PLAN, and developed new patient pathways with commissioners and multidisciplinary teams. My Master's in Business Risk Management supports strategic thinking on quality, governance; patient safety; service demand crisis and contingency planning.

Equality, diversity and inclusion matter deeply to me, and I've worked with diverse communities, including BAME and LGBT service users, refugees and asylum seekers.

As your governor, I'll bring a positive, professional attitude and help ensure EPUT's services reflect what truly matters to staff, patients and communities.
